YTM Finance Update with Finance Director Glyn Charles
We believe in being financially transparent with customers, YTM was established in West Yorkshire in 1981, we have over 30 years of trading history and are happy to report some great news in 2017:

We understand the importance of keeping up with change and adapting our processes, products and structure to stay competitive as the marketplace evolves; that is how we have stayed in business for over 30 years!
Some of the measures we have taken in 2017 to continue profit and sales assurance in the coming years include:
- New focus on costing and estimating within YTM to sharpen the tools required to support competitive pricing and adding value to customers. The bespoke nature of some of the work we undertake requires extra expertise in estimating. We have recruited a new position to ensure accurate estimates in this vital area and is working under the umbrella of the finance function.
- New marketing strategy, brand positioning and newly appointed head of marketing. Look out for real changes and customer facing improvements coming soon.
Appointing independent consultants BDO, specialising in business improvement. They are working with us to improve our internal systems and processes. With free reign to examine every area of the business and come up with a plan of the critical areas for improvement. This has resulted in a group of 20 individual projects which will be commencing at various stages over the next 12 months.
We are continually looking at improving systems and processes to improve our business and this entrepreneurial approach to business is reflected in the strength of our 2017 trading performance to date.
